Furuno 1835 Marine Radar Set — Tested

The Furuno 1835 is a standalone 4 kW marine radar with a 10.4″ colour LCD, sold here as a complete set, tested and confirmed functional with very low running hours.

Overview

The 1835 gives a clear target presentation with automatic gain, sea and rain controls, which keeps the picture free of noise without hiding small targets at short or long range. Full Screen and True View display modes are available, and the set can track and overlay up to 100 AIS targets and 10 ARPA targets at the same time — AIS targets stay visible even when hidden behind a larger vessel or an island, where an ARPA target would be lost. The Off Center function shifts own ship’s position on screen so the operator can look further ahead without losing overall awareness. The radar connects to chart plotters, echo sounders and other navigation equipment through Furuno’s programmable NMEA 0183 interface.
