Overview
A watch alarm keeps an eye on the person keeping the watch: at a set interval it asks for a confirmation, and if that confirmation does not come it raises the alarm elsewhere on board. This is the Dutch built NS4220, the panel you find in wheelhouses on the inland waterways, with its lamps for ship’s alarm, bridge alarm and reset, a watch time scale, a dimmer and the reset button.
